Placing dentures

Enhancing quality of life with dentures
It doesn’t matter if you lost your teeth or if they were destroyed beyond repair, there is still something you can do today. The cost of dentures is relatively low, making them an affordable option. Here, we will describe how dentures are fitted, when to place them, how treatments are carried out, as well as how they are repaired if necessary.
Types of dentures
Dentures are used to replace missing teeth in the mouth and allow the patient to eat and speak normally. By using dentures, the mouth, and jaw are kept in a healthy shape and appearance without altering their pattern.
We distinguish several main types of dentures, and each patient’s denture placement treatment is tailored to their individual needs:
-
Partial dentures – when a single missing tooth or several teeth are replaced, and the rest of the mouth still has the patient’s permanent teeth. These dentures are attached to the teeth with special hooks according to personal choice.
-
Full dentures – Patients who are completely toothless will need dentures on both upper and lower jaws.
-
Furthermore, removable dentures are also an option, where the denture is separate from the mouth and can be removed or assembled independently.
